About Me
✨ About Me
Hello, I'm Henock Alemu — but most people know me as Henny. I’m a passionate Chemical Engineering graduate from Dire Dawa University with a 4.00 GPA, a committed Christian creative, and the founder of Charis Graphics — a design platform that blends faith, art, and purpose.
I was born and raised in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, and from a young age, I’ve been drawn to things that inspire, uplift, and create meaning. Whether it’s designing spiritual graphics, researching sustainable solutions, or serving in church, everything I do is grounded in faith, excellence, and impact.
In university, I conducted research on liquid organic fertilizer from animal waste — a project focused on sustainability and innovation. I also completed an internship at Konel Detergent Industry, gaining hands-on experience in real-world chemical manufacturing.
Outside the lab, I am a graphic designer, photographer, and storyteller. I’ve created powerful visuals for churches, businesses, and organizations across Ethiopia. Through Charis Graphics, I design posters, flyers, IDs, and Bible verse content in both Amharic and English — all rooted in the message of grace. (Charis means grace in Greek.)
I speak Amharic and English fluently, a bit of Oromo, and I’m learning Spanish — with plans to pick up French next. I love worship music, playing FIFA, exploring nature, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
My goal is simple: to glorify God, grow as a leader and creator, and make a lasting difference in the world around me.
Let’s connect, collaborate, and create something meaningful — for His glory.
